It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William McConnell of Watkinsville, Georgia, who passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Y. F. McConnell and Ethel Evans McConnell. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Chambers McConnell of Watkinsville; his children, Becky Couch of Watkinsville and Lewis McConnell (Darlene) of Commerce; his siblings, Carolyn Sears of Commerce, Eleanor Allen (Truman) of Commerce, Mary Loggins of Commerce and Gene McConnell of Hull; his grandson Ryan McConnell; his stepgrandchildren, Michelle Couch, Don Couch, Jr. and Chad Couch (Hannah); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Chris, Hunter, Coby, Cameron Couch, Ella and Evie Graham.
