With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Head (Waverly, Georgia), born in Kingsland, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her husband Harley Dilworth Head Jr.; and her brothers, William Cooner, Dan Cooner and Fred Cooner. She is survived by: her former husband Reverend Larry Bringman; her sisters, Alice Freund and Barbara Kahler; her daughter Teresa Griffin; her husband Edward "Boone" Griffin; her grandchildren, Edward Griffin, Courtney Cook, Maddie Landro, Hayden Head, Ashley Head, Sophie Head and Dennis Kahler; her great grandchildren, Sadie-Harper Cook, Easton Cook, Patrick Landro, Maisley Landro and Marlie Landro; Pamela Head. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Waverly Methodist Church (427 Middleton St, Waverly, GA 31565).
