Betty Sue Morris Wakefield Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 2, 2026, at the age of 95, Betty Sue Morris Wakefield (Waycross, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Morris and Susie Steadham Morris; her husband Rev. J. Leon Wakefield; her son David L. Wakefield; and her siblings, Patsy M. Therrell, Donna M. Lee, Maxine Kellam and Harvey "Bucky" Morris, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Myers (Larry) of Brunswick and Deana Kay Hagan (Bruce) of Savannah; her daughter-in-law Martha Wakefield; and her grandchildren, Chris Wakefield, Melissa Wakefield Terry, Caitlen Bunkley, Paul Alvara, David Alvara and Milla Hagan. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Church Congregation of their choice or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
