He was predeceased by: his father John Hobert Tilson; and his brothers, Scott Tilson, Rodney Tilson and John Tilson. He is survived by: his mother Edith L. Carter of Waycross; his wife Sharon Tilson of Waycross; his children, Kenneth Clyde Jackson of Bonaire, Norman Thomas Strand, Jr. (Mackenzi) of Cheyenne, Sherry Nicole Parker (Gregg) of DeLand, Joseph Alan Strand (Becky) of Dublin, Jonathan Dean Tilson (Andrea) of Deltona and Caitlin Smith (Nick) of Cochran, Georgia; and his siblings, Douglas Tilson (Linda) of Orange City, Sonda Sperzel (Joe) of Waycross and Timothy Wiggins (Candy) of Waycross. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel (130 Screven Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
