The passing of Doris Gagnon of Waycross, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 5, 2025 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald A. Gagnon; her son Ralph L. Whittington, Jr. (Skip); her siblings, Curtis Brauda, Larry Brauda, Bernice Thornton and Kathleen Farnsworth; and her granddaughter Michelle Whittington.
She is survived by: her caregiver Kristi Gagnon; her son Richard; her daughter-in-law Wanda Whittington; her brother Henry; her sister-in-law Sue Brauda; her sisters, Maxine Thornton, Virginia Skipper, Faye Jenkins and Fonda Lynch; and her grandchildren, Michael Whittington, Cindy Swaukus, Laura Matthews (Mark), Kelli Claus and Beth Blanchard. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel (130 Screven Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
She also expressed her lifelong creativity through quilting and crocheting and donating her work to many church and charitable causes.
