With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eddie D. McCray Jr. of Waycross, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 36. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Eddie leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Ford McCray; and his siblings, Kandice McCray and Dwain T. Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his father Eddie Derrell McCray, Sr. of Jesup; his siblings, Christina Hampton (James), Keshaad Redding, Lashaad McCray (Jessyca), Malique Flanagan and Joseph McCray; and his close friend Chelsea Welch. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
