He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Lewis Mixon and Betty Robinson Mixon; his siblings, Allen Mixon, Mildred Dewberry, Doris Houser and Bobby Mixon; and his uncle John Mixon.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Loraine Davis Mixon of Waycross; his children, Laura Mixon Smith (Jimmy) of Waycross, Eldon Lewis Mixon, Jr. (Harriet) of Waycross, Evelyn Mixon Denton (David) of Bickley and Cate Mixon Rocha; his grandson Trey Minix; and his siblings, Ellis Mixon (Joan) of Waycross and Laura Courson of Waycross. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
