He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Alvin Johns and Mahala Christine White Johns; and his siblings, William Alvin Johns, J. L. "Vern" Johns (Jaunell), Waunell Corbitt Johns, Connie Ophelia Johns, Robert L Johns, Willie Earl Johns, Henry Ferrell Johns and Nelson Edwin Johns.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Vining Johns of Waycross; his children, Shelly Renee Johns (Michael Schlachton) of Washington, OK, Janet Joiner (Bobby Joiner) of Waycross, GA, Cheryl Varnadore (Michael Varnadore) of Waycross, GA and Terry Johns of Eufaula; his sister Barbara Ann Wall of Pearson, GA; his sisters-in-law, Mary Johns and Jeanette Lee of Waycross, GA; his grandchildren, Joshua Randall Johns (Shauna Baugh), Cassie Johns, Haley Crews (Kyle Crews), Tyler Prevatt, Lexie Joiner and Evan Joiner; and his great grandchildren, Donovan Davis, Kyler Baugh, Blaze Baugh, Heidi Davis and Kade Crews. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and several other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Cemetery (5000 Brunswick Hwy, Waycross, GA 31503).
