It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank B. Atkins of Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Balden Atkins, Sr. and Margaret Louise Powers Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Tevis Atkins of Waycross; his children, Mike Atkins of Louisville and Shannon Cochran (Craig) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Trevor Atkins, Tara Atkins (Markell), Tori Atkins, Staci Cochran, Kaity Cochran (Colton), Chadwick Cochran, Marley Cochran and Griffin Cochran; his great grandchildren, Kelton, Tahlia, Sophia, Tai, Bennett, Tacori, Lakelynn, Brysen and Ari; his sisters, Kay Stevenson of Louisville and Nancy Hutchinson (Bill) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and his close friends, Andy and April Finn of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home and Crematory (130 Screven Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
