He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Whitson and Omie Whitson; his sister Juanita Willis; and his grandson Dean McIntosh. He is survived by: his wife Fay Whitson of Waycross; his children, Kennith Dean Whitson (Sondra) of Richmond, Tina Marie Stogdale (Barry) of Waycross and Debbie McIntosh (Wayne) of Arkansas; and his siblings, John Dale Whitson and Linda Lee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
