He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Henry Cox and Gussie Fitchett Cox; his children, Julie Denise Erickson and Stevie Rufus Cox; and his siblings, Robert Cox, Lewis Cox, Patsy Murray, Clarine Warren and David Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Pansy Cox of Waycross; his children, Bonnie Sue Cartwright of Waresboro and Raymond Cox (Sharon) of Waycross; his stepchildren, Morris Crews of Waycross, Marcus Crews (Barbara) of Tennessee and Tabitha Thomas (Troy) of Waycross; his siblings, Betty Curry (LeRoy) of Alabama, Shelton Cox (Linda) of Waycross and Danny Cox (Diane) of Kingsland; and his former wife Carolyn Cox of Waycross. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
