He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy D. Monk, Sr. and Laura Stratton Monk Lee; his son Ronald Alan "Ron" Monk; and his siblings, Roy Monk, Jr., David Monk, Donald Monk and Virginia Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Monk of Waycross; his children, Randall Wayne Monk (Mary) of Appling, Georgia and Katy Michelle Harris (Toby) of Blackshear; his daughter-in-law Darlene Monk James; and his siblings, Gene Monk (Rose) of Jacksonville and Merle Rewis of Crescent City. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Georgia Hospice Care in memory of Marshall G. Monk.
