She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Gilliard and Oveida Nettles Gilliard; her husband William Allen "Shorty" Griffin; her son Allen "Cooter" Griffin; and her brothers, Doc, Billy and Earl Gilliard.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Griffin (Vivian) of Alma, Gaston "Goose" Griffin (Kathy) of Ware County, Earl Griffin (Sherry) of Waycross and Christine Smart (Paul) of Blackshear; and her siblings, Jimmy Gilliard, Bobby Gilliard, Glenda Faye Mize, Lou Braddock and Beverly Holton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
