We announce the death of Melissa Ann Rowland (Waycross, Georgia), who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 59. Melissa Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Rowland; and her close friend Dr. Cleveland Thompson. She is survived by: her sons, Brandon Rowland (Mary Allison) and Zach Rowland; her parents, Jane Gillis (Billy) and Richard McGee (Jill); her siblings, Debbie McGee, Cindy Hitt (David) and Wayne McGee; her nieces and nephews, Patrick Hitt, Sara Hitt and Chandler McGee; and her extended family, Devon Yarbrough (Stacey), Austin Yarbrough and Dawson Yarbrough.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (702 Elizabeth St, Waycross, GA 31501).
