With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Jean Dyal Herrin of Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Rita shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rita farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sweat Memorial Baptist Church (510 W Blackshear Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kettle Creek Cemetery (2523 Carswell Ave, Waycross, GA 31501).
In lieu of flowers, Rita would have loved for those wishing to contribute to instead help someone they personally know who is battling cancer.
