He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Whitehead Jr. and Ann Marie Whitehead (McGauley); and his brother Anthony Jerome Whitehead. He is survived by: his children, Demario Buckhalter Waycross (LaTonya), Shawn Johnson Adeleke (Olayinka) of Texas, Reyna Thornton Conyers (Kevin) and Jordan Whitehead-Reyes (Alissa) of Wisconsin; his siblings, Bobbie Ann Moore, Effie Jean Whitehead-Smith (Michael), Gregory Lee Whitehead Waycross (Ocilla), Tammye Whitehead-Broughton of Gainesville, FL and Omega Dale Whitehead (Shannon); his aunts and uncles, Doretha Carter, Gloria Wesley, Helen Scott, Hilliard Whitehead, Nathaniel McGauley and Duey McGauley; his niece Brianna Broughton; and his friend Betty Glover of Atlanta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members, and dear friends.
