With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wendy Thornton of Waycross, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2026 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ralph Marsh and Shirley Elaine Norman Marsh; her husband Charles Lynn Thornton; and her brothers, Bill Marsh, Mike Marsh and Mark Marsh.
She is survived by: her children, Shayne Thornton of Athens, Dusty Thornton (April) of Blackshear and Megan Hare (Stephen) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Conner Thrift, Grant Thrift and Amy Hare; her sister Lynne Marsh of Waycross; her adoptive son Tony Lopez of Athens; and her sister Shari Scurry of Waycross. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
