She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Marvin Benson, Sr. and Bernice Hutcheson Benson; her spouse Byron L; and her brother Otis Marvin Benson, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Byron Lamar Murray, III, Karen Murray Rowland (Tommy), Stephen Benson Murray, Sr. (Jennifer) and Brian Carroll Murray; her nephew Daniel Alan Gelderman, Sr. (Deborah); her grandchildren, Ryan Rowland (Greer), Tyler Benson Rowland, Hallie Ann Murray, Mary-Lynn Murray Pennington (Reid), Stephen Benson Murray, Jr. (Kate) and Brian Roberts Murray; her great grandchildren, Carolyn Jane Rowland, Catherine Ryan Rowland, Thomas Daniel Pennington, Stephen Benson Murray, III and Davis Murray Pennington; her sister-in-law Marsha Murray Greiner; and her close friend Jane Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
