He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Taggart and Louis Taggart; and his siblings, Dorothy Lemley, Dennis Taggart, Stephen Taggart and Judith Pope.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Taggart; his daughters, Martha Rogers of Waynesboro and Margaret Taggart of Augusta; his grandchildren, Charlene Oglesby (Grant) of Waynesboro, Jeremy Rogers (Kimberly) of Plant City, FL and Adrienne Hogue of Augusta; his great grandchildren, Gracelynn, Kaywinnett, Emmaline, Scarlette and Luna; and his siblings, John Taggart (Betty) of Athens, AL and Roselyn Alexander (Vernon) of Carbon Hill, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
