He is survived by: his son Donald "DJ" Thames, Jr. (Jessica) of Waynesboro; and his sisters, Janice Liles (Ebbie) of Waynesboro and Glennis Daniel (Larry) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a long list of cousins, who were more like siblings.
