He is survived by: his wife Stacy Goldenberg Jackson; his children, Mary Catherine Buna Jackson (Jed Osborn) and Joseph Lawrence Jackson III; his parents, Dr. Joseph Lawrence "Larry" Jackson Sr. and Nancy Garrett Jackson; his brother Christopher Scott Jackson (Megan); and his parents-in-law, Jack and Cathy Goldenberg.

“My heart is breaking. He was my doctor for a very long time. We had a great relationship. I'd show him pictures and videos of my birds and he'd show me pictures of when he caught a big fish, pictures of hunting with his son, etc. I could tell him anything and we would talk and he'd get me back on track.
