Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Seaborn L. Foster, and Thelma Martin Foster, Sr.; her grandparents, Annie Louise and Norman Martin; and her sister Jane Foster Hillis.
She is survived by: her daughter Penny DeLaigle of Waynesboro; her granddaughter Sheena Gavlinski Alfred (James) of Waynesboro; her great grandchildren, Kayleigh Elliott of Waynesboro and Taylor James of Waynesboro; and her siblings, Ann Foster Harbin (Frank) of Katy, TX and S. Lewis Foster (Cyndi) of Chester, MD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Deloach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home (220 E 6th St, Waynesboro, GA 30830). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
