It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Overstreet Hunter (Waynesboro, Georgia), who passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Overstreet and Dorsey "Doss" Overstreet; and her siblings, Edward Overstreet, Flora Bell Overstreet, Dusty Overstreet, Dorsey Edward Overstreet, James Overstreet and Lori Jean Royals.
She is survived by: her husband David "Butch" Harbuck; her children, William "Moochie" Herbert Hunter, Jr. (Traci), Melissa Ann Hunter and Larry James Harbuck; her grandchildren, Abby Elizabeth Hunter, Trevor Gagnon, Austin Hunter, Brandon Hunter, Memphis Hunter, Paris Hunter, Brooklyn Hunter and A'Moree Hunter; her nieces and nephews, Betty Jo Purvis (Larry), Lorean Smith (Bobby), Lynn Morris (Patrick), Kenny Overstreet (Liz), Billy Overstreet (Connie) and Jimmy Overstreet (Nikki); her mother-in-law Doraine Harbuck; and her close friend Miranda Purvis. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
