She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry E. Allen and Marjorie L. Lassiter Turner; her sisters, Carolyn Phillips and Frankie Allen; her grandson Dakota Hammett; and her cousin Gwen Allen.
She is survived by: her husband Carl David Sullivan; her children, Randy Hammett (Linda), Annette Williams (Billy), Bubba Sullivan, Ray Widener (Lisa), Joe Sullivan (Michelle) and Rudy Hammett (Karen); and her grandchildren, Ben, Drew, Tyler, Russell, Ashley, Justin, Dillon, Ashleigh, Brett, Lindsey, Doug, Brittany, Taylor, Michael, Lacie and Bailey. She is also survived by many great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ruth's memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
