He was predeceased by: his parents, Printis Burkett and Fannie Mae Burkett; his wife Mollie Petty Burkett; his granddaughter Samantha Lee Burkett; his brother Glen Wyatt Burkett; and his niece Tracy Lynn Kirkland.
He is survived by: his sons, Printis Burkett, Jr. of West Green and Wade Burkett (Wanda) of Douglas, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Marissa Deeann Shelton (Chris) of West Green and Loren Leeann Burkett (Rosa) of Douglas, Georgia. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; four foster great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews.
