She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Eugene Milam; her parents, T. H. "Hank" Benefield and Lueola Wilson Benefield; and her siblings, R. T. Benefield, Helen Pitts, Russell Benefield and Wade Benefield.

She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Handley (Marc) and Mitzi Wise (Eric); her grandchildren, Caroline, Hope Handley, Lily and Noah Wise; and her sisters, Gwen Benefield and Angela Ballard (Jimmy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854).
