With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Shannon Bledsoe of West Point, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Morris and Jean Morris; and her brother Robert Morris. She is survived by: her husband Roger Bledsoe; her children, Angela Broadaway (Keith), Alexander Morrow (Amanda) and Ashley Townsend (Nathan); her stepchildren, Shane House, Jessica Mallory (Amos) and Courtney Pittman (Clinton); her stepgrandchildren, Deven Broadaway, Cara Broadaway, Mikayla Mallory, Karlee Mallory, Olivia Morrow, Madeline Morrow, Jasper Pittman and Preston Townsend; and her great grandchild Lyla Dagen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valley-Point Funeral Home & Cremation (1011 N Lanier Ave, Lanett, AL 36863). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Valley-Point Funeral Home (1011 N Lanier Ave, Lanett, AL 36863).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Shannon, a courageous 30-year survivor of ovarian cancer.
