He is survived by: his wife Doris Heard; his children, Tonya Heard-Birt, Frederick Heard (Jessie), John Heard, Jr. (Simone), Concha Heard, Quentin Heard, Bernadette Fears, Aqueveious Fears and Monique Weaver; his daughter-in-law Tracie Heard; and his siblings, Geneva Cato, Phyllis Gates, Ann Crowder, Susie Luke, Rodney Heard (Aretha) and Jackie Heard. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lakes Dunson Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241).
