He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Jefferson Stewart, Sr. and Dorothy Ward Stewart; and his siblings, C. J. Stewart, Dorothy Lou Rabun and Betty Ruth Grizzard.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Elizabeth Smith; his daughters, Gwen S. Whittaker (Richard) of Glennville, GA and Lynn S. Copelan (Richard) of Hoover, AL; his sister Vivian Ledford (J. D.) of Hiawassee, GA; his grandchildren, Ashley Godbee (Michael), Meredith Waters (Andy), Adam Whittaker (Raquel), Kate Windham (Tait) and Michael Copelan (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Jackson Godbee (Summer), Presley DeJarnette (Hank), Ava, Charlie, Tess Waters, Samara, Gaines, Jordyn Windham, Kinsey, Abby Whittaker, Luke, Levi and Micah Copelan; and his great great grandchild Emma Grace Godbee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the White Plains Baptist Church (1020 Main St, White Plains, GA 30678). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
