It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Deese Vickers of Willacoochee, Georgia, born in Sarasota, Florida, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ammie W. Deese and Minnie E. Whitehead Deese; her husband Henry Floyd "Buddy" Vickers; her son Allen W. Vickers; and her brother Alvin "Bubba" Deese.

She is survived by : her children, Floyd Vickers (Gloria) of Jacksonville, Kenneth Vickers (Glenda) of Mora, Georgia and Patricia McGovern (Randy) of Pearson, Georgia; her daughter-in-law Lynne Vickers of Mora, Georgia; and her sisters, Irene Pinder of Ft. Myers and Marie Grantham of Mora, Georgia. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
