He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma Frances Layton and Jamie Pilgrim; his wife Patricia Leslie Starr (Patt); his children, Mark Simpson, Matt Pilgrim (Tammy) and Cindy Pilgrim-Lorenz (Paula); his grandchildren, Devin Simpson (Leah), Madison Zeringue (Dylan) and Lee Simpson; and his great grandchildren, Jack Simpson, Gracie Simpson and Olivia Simpson.
