She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chester Cornwell and Winnie Pearl Nelson Cornwell; her husband Ben Gunn; and her siblings, Herman Cornwell, Harold Cornwell, Lamar Cornwell and Virginia Reynolds.

She is survived by: her children, Barry Gunn of Winder and Candice Gunn of Maysville; her granddaughter Pearl Curtis (Will) of Atlanta; and her great grandchild Ivy Curtis.
