He is survived by: his sons, Barry Garrett (Shelby) of Winder, Tim Garrett (Dawn) of Winder and Larry Garrett of Winder; his stepchildren, Bob Peters of Monroe, Connie Slaton (Steven) of Monroe and Ronda Royster of Monroe; his grandchildren, Bradley Garrett (Kristy), Will Whisenant (Nicole) of Jefferson, GA, Taylor Bradberry of Oklahoma City, Kristen Holladay, Alexander Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Jacob Palmer, Jason Palmer, Travis Peters, Ashley Anderson (Kyle Davis), Logan Phillips (Brandy), Brandon Moss and Paris Burnsed; and his great grandchildren, Noah Garrett and Lily Garrett.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA 30680). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Smith Memory Chapel (755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA 30680).
