It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda M Hammond of Winder, Georgia, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Maylon and Flossie Larue Mobley. She is survived by: her husband Dale Matthew Hammond; her daughters, Melissa Dale Hammond Shelnutt (Terry Lamar Shelnutt) and Janet Lynn Hammond Salter (Robert Alton Salter, Jr); her sister Emmalene Murphy; her grandchildren, Brandon Salter, Nick Salter, Taylor Shelnutt Phillips (Cody) and Tia Shelnutt Manning (Davey); and her great grandchildren, Sadie Manning, Hazel Manning and Wyatt Phillips. She is also survived by brother and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whistleville Christian Church (83 Patrick Ml Rd SW, Winder, GA 30680). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Barrow Memorial Gardens (793 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA 30680).
