He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Shedd and Vera Doster Shedd; his close friend Jimmie "Willis" Phillips; his siblings, Jimmie Shedd, Nita Dodson, Randy Shedd and Terry Shedd; his in-laws, Ralph and Geneva Phillips; and his sister-in-law Dianne Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Phillips Shedd; his children, Holly Jacks (Ross) of Winder and Justin Shedd (Tonya) of Jefferson; his brothers, Billy Shedd (Flora) of Statham and Cliffton "Cookie" Shedd of Winder; his grandchildren, Josh Shedd (Abbie), Caleb Adams, Lyndsee Adams, Nick Marks, Kinsley Hayes, Khloe Hayes, Greyson Shedd and Kelsie Duncan (Ryan); his great grandchild Emelyn Duncan; and his pet Tango.
