She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Woodrow and Margie Virginia Nix Freeman; her husband Earnest "Howard'Austin; her son Earnest Howard "Ernie" Austin, Jr.; her siblings, Mildred Freeman and Charles Freeman; and her granddaughter Katie Austin.
She is survived by: her son Timothy Lamar "Tim" Austin (Penny); her siblings, Donnie Pittillo (Wayne), Shirley Cunningham and Vera Penland (Talmadge); her sister-in-law Zeneda Freeman; and her grandchildren, Lee Austin, Joshua Austin (Kelly) of Timothy and Caseigh Austin. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
