He was predeceased by : his parents, Augustus Dean Whorton and Mary Crocker Whorton; and his sisters, Nancy Washburn and Catherine Davis. He is survived by : his son Matthew Frank Whorton (Nichole) of Winder; his sisters, Elizabeth McGukin of Alabama and Mary Dean Shelton of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Hailey of Winder and Piper Whorton of Winder.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I am graduated with Frank and even dated him once when we were seniors. Frank was so full of life and so full of mischief too. There are a number of us that remember a ride after the senior play rehearsal that got us stuck out at Mad Wind Creek and we all had to walk out. My daddy , Horace Dennis, had to pull out Frank’s car with his big truck. I can’t even describe how much trouble I got into over that incident. He will be missed.”
