She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Earl Crater and Dorothy Mackey; her sister Patti Buirge; and her stepfather Dr. Gilbert Donald Mackey. She is survived by: her husband Michael Wells of Winder; her daughter Jennifer Hanna of California; her grandchildren, Alex, David, Vincent, Nathalia and Anthony; and her siblings, Diana Nettersheim and Richard Crater.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriner's Hospital.
