Jerry Flanigan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Flanigan of Winder, Georgia, born in Hoschton, Georgia, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eurskin Flanigan and Idean Flanigan (Buice); his brothers, Odell Flanigan, Woodrow Flanigan, Randall Flanigan and Harold Flanigan; his aunt Bertha C. Flanigan; his nephews, Timothy Massey and Ken Flanigan; his parents-in-law, Emory and Ruby McHugh; his siblings-in-law, Larry McHugh, Wayne McHugh, Emory "Butch" McHugh and Linda McHugh; and his niece Teri Cochran.

He is survived by: his wife Naomi Ruth Flanigan (McHugh) of Winder; his daughter Debra Landress (Michael) of Winder; his grandchildren, Joshua Landress (Megan) of Winder and Michelle Landress of Winder; his great grandchildren, Madilyn Landress, Mason Landress of Winder and Logan Dowdy of Winder; his siblings, Roy Flanigan (Elaine) of Buford, Junior Flanigan (Sharon) of Buford, George Flanigan (Isabel) of Dacula and Mary Massey (Tim) of Hoschton; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Flanigan of Hoschton, Kathy Flanigan of Lawrenceville and Judy McHugh of Greensboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Byrd & Flanigan Crematory and Funeral Service (288 Hurricane Shoals Rd NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at the Duncan Creek Congregational Church (3868 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA 30519).
