Lena Poss Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lena Poss of Winder, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Gearin and Nellie Gearin; her husband Dan Poss; and her siblings, John Gearin, Evelyn Messer and Charles Gearin.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Sorrells; her grandson Matt Sorrells (Jodi); and her great grandchildren, Caden Sorrells and Bridget Sorrells.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3655 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606).
