She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas McDonald and Margaret Evans McDonald; and her siblings, Betty Tanner, James "Sonny" McDonald, Sue Malone and Thomas McDonald.
She is survived by: her husband James Ottis Smith of Winder; her children, Merry Elizabeth "Beth" Smith of Winder and Dr. James Keith Smith of Carrollton, GA; and her caregiver Katie Wilkes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Winder (275 N 5th Ave, Winder, GA 30680). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Winder.
