He is survived by: his wife Jackie Leathers; his children, Whitney Leathers (Gary Whitley), Jenny Bratcher (Scott), Carrie Kennard (Jonathan), Kyle Leathers, Jon Vennie and Ricky Vennie; his siblings, Shelley Austin (Johnnie), Karen Stevens, Stacie Burgess (Jack) and Phillip Leathers (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Jordan Vennie, Rachel Vennie, Janna Hanrahan (James), Kyleigh Wheeler (Clay), Katelynn Bratcher, Lindsey Bratcher, Edwin Kennard, Brittany Whitley and William Whitley (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Mayla Hanrahan, Maylee Hanrahan, Whitley Wheeler and Madden Whitley.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maddox Memorial. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Maddox Memorial. A burial was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at the Rose Hill Cemetery (188 Melrose St, Winder, GA 30680).
