He is survived by: his wife Rene; his parents, Donald Whitaker and DeAnna Staley Whitaker Bresler; his children, Michelle Becker (Joshua), Caleb Whitaker (Madison) of Eric Whitaker, AJ and Desirae Whitaker; his siblings, Ern Whitaker and Donna Hanna (Randy); his grandchildren, Alisa, Joseph and Aurora; his parents-in-law, Loren and Doris Hueter; and his sister-in-law Janeen Holmstrom. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
