He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Shuler and Dorothy Shuler; the mother of his children Sandra Shuler; and his brothers, William Shuler and Gene Shuler.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Healan (Melvin), James Russell Shuler and Timothy Wayne Shuler; his siblings, Robert Shuler (Delores) and Joyce Bibeault; and his grandsons, Justin Carr (Tessa) and TJ Rainey (Kerri). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
