He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Voyles and Rosalee Voyles; his wife Ruth Voyles; his former wife Willouise McNeal Voyles; his daughters, Beverly Hardy and Denice Mote; and his sister Ruby Maxwell (Robert).
He is survived by: his stepsons, David Walls (Donna) of Villa Rica and William Walls of Franklin, Georgia; his son-in-law Randy Hardy of Douglasville, Georgia; and his brother Herbert Voyles (Barbara) of Buckhead, Georgia. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and even great great-grandchildren.
