He is survived by: his wife Janet Fern of Winston; his children, Kathy Houston (John) of Cumming, GA, Pam Barton of Marietta, GA, Tom Fern (Ethel) of Clarksville, GA, Tim Fern (Pam) of Hiram, GA, Scott Fern (Sherryl) of Alamogordo, NM, Greg Lanzi (Michelle) of Brighton, MI, Chris Lanzi of Lawrenceville, GA and Michael Lanzi of Gulf Breeze, FL; and his sister Jean Schumaker of Addison, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
