Wilma Hembree Strickland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma Hembree Strickland of Winston, Georgia, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hembree and Amy Alma Kimball; her husband Clyde Strickland; and her son James Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Sticher (Damon), Johnny Strickland (Shree), Cindy Butler (Mark) and Amanda Stephenson (Rob); and her grandchildren, Wayne Strickland (Tab), Jarred Strickland (Julie), Jeremy Strickland, Timothy Strickland, Steven Strickland, Jesse Crosby, Chad Butler (Anthony DeRosa), Jenny Weatherly (Todd), Chastity Diamond (Dusty) and James Sticher (Becky). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hightower's Memorial Chapel (12651 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery (5630 Liberty Rd, Winston, GA 30187).
