He was predeceased by: his parents, William Freund and Mary Brightwell Freund; his wife Yolanda Sue Godfrey Freund; and his brother Philip Freund. He is survived by: his children, Edgar R. Freund, Jr. of Woodbine, Mary Banks (Christopher) of Kingsland and Mia Pace (Jeffrey) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his granddaughters, Ali Pace of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Lauren Pace of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Nicole Pace of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is also survived by several nieces, other relatives and a host of friends.
