She was predeceased by: her parents, L. H. Padgett and Lois Padgett; and her brother Paul Padgett. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Chapman; her son Mitchell Wheeler; her daughter-in-law Leslie Wheeler; her daughter Kimberly Tallant Bunn; her son-in-law Greg Bunn; her grandchildren, Carina Wheeler, Sam Wheeler, Evie Wheeler and Aislin Bunn; and her sisters, Diane Herndon (Larry), Karon Breazeale (Mark) and Linda Hicks (Ted).
In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested that donations be made to Antioch Christian Church.
