He was predeceased by : his wife Patricia Godwin. He is survived by : his children, Richard E. (Rosemary), Eric Godwin (Jennifer) and Julie Godwin Belk (Chad Belk); his grandchildren, Chase, Alix, Audra, Jake, Jack, Reece, Oliver and Mia; his brother David (Sheila Godwin); and his nephews, Daniel, Caleb and Jordan Godwin.
